DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the food Corporation. The Foundation believes that everyone has a right to healthy and nutritious food. The Foundation's Community Impact Grants Program provides support to nonprofits that focus on food insecurity, primarily in the communities where the Corporation operates in 26 states. The Foundation supports programs that address food access, nutrition education and cooking skills, healthy and active lifestyles, and urban agricultural programs that have a clear community focus and provide entrepreneurial skills to help individuals participate in the farm to fork economy. Preference is given to highly effective nonprofits with high-impact projects that occur in and near the communities where the Corporation's employees live and work.
