DescriptionThe Organization is composed of two separate charitable funds: the Marty Tomberg Charitable Fund and the Philip and the Helen Brecher Charitable Fund. The Organization provides grants to nonprofits and certain government entities, such as public schools and universities based in the United States for projects in the U.S. and worldwide. Grants are awarded in the following areas: the environment, poverty alleviation, health, and education. The Organization looks to fund opportunities such as pilot programs, new programs, capacity building and evaluations that allow them to make a larger difference with limited funds. The Organization does not make grants to religious organizations or to fund projects run by religious organizations.
