DescriptionThe Foundation is making rapid response grants to nonprofits in California that protect residents most vulnerable to the pandemic in the areas of mass incarceration, immigrant rights, and farmworker rights in the state. It also makes grants in four priority areas: Leading Edge Fund, Justice and Public Safety, Immigrant Rights and Immigrant Workers' Rights, and Civil Rights and Civic Participation. While most of its grantmaking is earmarked by organizations the Foundation seeks out, it does accept unsolicited inquiries.
