Ja Community Foundation

Description

The Foundation was created out of the Japanese American Citizens League Health Insurance Plan to help those who couldn't buy insurance because of discrimination. It identifies and invests in solutions that meet the needs, interests, and concerns of the Japanese American and broader Asian American communities as well as promotes programs that benefit the Japanese American and broader Asian American communities. The Foundation is focusing its large and multi-year grants of between $5,000 and $50,000 on programs and projects that focus on senior health and services, history, arts and culture, and youth. Mini grants of $5,000 are open to all JA projects and initiatives including youth-oriented programs. The deadline is for the large and multi-year programs.
