The Healing Trust

Category

: Regional

Description

The Trust supports nonprofits that provide health services in Middle Tennessee. The Trust was created from the sale of Baptist Hospital to Ascension Health/St. Thomas Health Services. The Trust believes that access to holistic, quality healthcare is a right of every human; that every human is worthy of, and deserves, compassionate care; that initiatives are needed to address immediate needs for access to quality, compassionate health care and to act as catalysts for long-term solutions, and that cultures of mindfulness, wisdom, peace, love, and justice are essential to the delivery of compassionate care. Grants are awarded in the following areas: physical health (applicants must provide direct clinical services, caregiver support, or health system navigation through the Get Covered TN initiative); mental health, recovery from drug or alcohol addiction, and healing from abuse, neglect, or violence. Qualified applicants must be nonprofits with locations in Middle Tennessee. Visit the Web site to learn more and to see if your organization is located in the appropriate area.
