Description

The Foundation, a fund of the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region, is focusing its grantmaking on a newly created initiative, the Gulf Coast School Library Recovery Initiative. The initiative will make grants available for books for school libraries in Gulf Coast areas affected by the 2005 hurricanes. Funding seeks to help school libraries become fully functional and to offer the needed print resources to the students of the schools that were destroyed or severely damaged. Schools damaged by the hurricanes are eligible to apply. An application form is available on the Web site.
