Description

The Foundation has launched a $10 million COVID-19 Recovery Fund to support nonprofits during this challenging and uncertain time. The Foundation will provide grants to support frontline nonprofits working to provide emergency assistance to those impacted by COVID-19 in Central Texas’ most vulnerable communities. The Fund is designed to complement the efforts of local health departments, public health officials, and federal subsidies while expanding local capacity to address aspects of the outbreak as quickly and efficiently as possible. Priority populations for the fund include older adults at risk of isolation, women, children, and vulnerable populations, with special attention given to rural areas. The Fund will also prioritize work that is related to factors that directly impact health and well-being including telehealth, mental health, and youth serving organizations. Direct service providers, such as those supporting essential healthcare, human services, and food insecurity directly connected to COVID-19, are vital to the recovery effort and will be considered for funding through the initiative. Nonprofits in Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williams counties are eligible to apply. Additional information including details on eligibility criteria, a preview of application questions and a frequently asked questions page can be found on the Web site.
