DescriptionThe Organization is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to experimentation involving broadcast media and the airwaves, including the Transmission Arts genre. The Organization provides access to transmission technologies and supports artists and organizations that engage with media as an art form. The Organization’s Media Arts Assistance Fund provides support to individual artists residing in New York State for the completion, distribution, and/or exhibition of new works in all genres of sound and moving image art, including emergent technology. Grants will assist artists in completing new work, reaching public audiences and advancing artistic exploration and public engagement in the media arts. The Organization will award grants in two areas: Completion Support and Distribution/Exhibition Support. Completion Support grants of $5,000 will be awarded to assist artists in the final stages of completing new works in all genres of sound and moving image art, including emergent technology. Distribution/Exhibition grants of $10,000 will be awarded for the practical distribution of a project to ensure that completed works are experienced by public audiences.
