Mentor Network Charitable Foundation

DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of The Network, a national network of local health and human services providers in 36 states offering an array of services. The Foundation works to build on The Network’s innovative approach to human services by seeking new solutions and creative ideas for enhancing the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities; individuals with brain and spinal cord injuries and other catastrophic injuries and illnesses; youth facing emotional, behavioral, and medically complex challenges; and elders in need of support. The Foundation awards grants in three areas: Community Partners, Community Champions, and Stepping Stones. The Foundation’s Community Partners Program supports nonprofits that are acting as change agents within human services benefitting these populations by delivering innovative care or developing new ideas and models for doing so. Community Champions grants recognizes employees of The MENTOR Network who devote extraordinary amounts of time and energy to local charities. The Stepping Stones Fund helps those the Network serves through grants for job training and readiness activities, vocational and higher education, and other programs that lead to self-sufficiency and independence. The deadline is for the Community Partners grants. Additional information as well as deadlines for the other programs and states served can be found on the Web site.
