Carolyn Watson Rural Oklahoma Community Foundation

Description

The Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life in designated rural Oklahoma communities. The Foundation awards grants to organizations serving rural Oklahoma communities (with populations of less than 6,000) in support of a new (or significant expansion of a current) effort that positively impacts the community in the areas of arts, culture, history, libraries, and literacy. Projects must serve residents in the Oklahoma counties of Adair, Atoka, Bryan, Cherokee, Choctaw, Coal, Haskell, Johnson, Latimer, McCurtain, McIntosh, Okfuskee, or Pushmataha. Details about the types of programs it funds and additional information can be found on the Web site. Grants of $10,000 will be awarded for projects serving one of the identified eligible communities; for projects serving more than one community, grants of up to $15,000 will be awarded. To receive access to the grant application, please send a request via e-mail to s.astrin@occf.org 6 days before the grant deadline.
