DescriptionThe Academy’s Collaborative International Research Grants Program supports research collaborations of between and among scholars located in different geographical regions who wish to pursue focused, joint projects in the study of religion, broadly defined. Grants are awarded to projects grounded in international research relationships that bring together scholars from disparate backgrounds and methodological approaches that advance critical research on and understanding of religious traditions, practices, and issues are encouraged. Awards may be used for a variety of project expenses, including enhanced communication and travel. Junior as well as more established scholars are encouraged to apply; independent scholars will also be considered. Grant recipients must maintain membership in the Academy during the grant award period. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
