DescriptionThe Program, part of the National Lutheran Communities and Services, provides grants to nonprofits including congregations and community-based programs that support seniors aging in place in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. Grants are awarded for projects that address at least one of the following critical needs that seniors face: navigating and accessing healthcare and social services; chronic disease management; dealing with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and memory loss; social isolation; transportation; and housing. The Program’s approach to grant making allows for a multi-pronged approach conserving all aspects of these issues where applicable. More information can be found on the Web site.
