The Peace Development Fund

Category

: Peace

Description

The Fund was founded on the belief that peace is not just the absence of war or militarism, but as the presence of equitable relationships among people, nations, and the environment. The Fund brings a social, environmental, and economic justice perspective to its work. The Fund has five programs; grantmaking; capacity building/technical assistance, donor and community-advised funds; special initiatives; and fiscal sponsorship. Grants are awarded to programs and projects working to achieve peaceful, just, and equitable relationships among people and nations. It supports organizations and projects that recognize that peace will never be sustained unless it is based on justice and an appreciation of both the diversity and unity of the human family. The Fund awards grants both national and internationally. Visit the Web site for additional information.
