Description

The Organization’s Farmers Advocating for Organic Program seeks to address the long-term needs of the organic marketplace and the future of organic agriculture by supporting the development of long-term solutions. The Organization supports research, education, and advocacy projects designed to protect and promote the organic industry and the livelihood of organic farmers. Priority is currently given to the following types of projects: Understanding Organic and Cultivating CROPP Cooperating Community (an internal constituency.) Understanding Organic projects result in broader consumer and public understanding of the benefits of organic food and farming. Cultivating CROPP projects strengthen the CROPP Cooperative by building community among and between farmers and employees. Nonprofits and academic/research institutions are eligible to apply.
