Maryland Humanities

Description

The Organization supports public programming with the humanities at its heart and inspiring organizations to explore innovative programs that spark dialogue, strive to engage new audiences, and stimulate the thoughtful exchange of ideas. Funded programs can take many forms including lectures, new media projects, reading and discussion programs, seminars, interpretive exhibits, local and living histories, spoken word programs, and interpreting oral histories. Through the Organization’s Major Grants program, successful applicants will be awarded in support of innovative projects that use the humanities to engage Maryland residents through programming. Applicants must demonstrate that they have matching funds (cash or in-kind) equal to the funds requested. Additional information including the online grants portal can be found on the Web site.
