Description

The Foundation is committed to the health and well-being of residents of Iowa and South Dakota. The Foundation believes that the greatest health challenges facing residents of the two states is chronic disease and a key driver of chronic disease is obesity and overweight. The Foundation also believes that the keys to addressing chronic disease are healthy nutrition and physical activity. The Foundation’s Matching Assets to Community Health grants program supports sustainable initiatives that positively impact health by increasing access to, and consumption of, nutritious foods, as well as those that create safe and healthy environments for activity. All grant awards require a match of 50 percent in cash or in-kind contributions. Eligible applicants must be an organization within the states of either Iowa or South Dakota or seeking funding support for grant funding restricted for use in Iowa or South Dakota.
