Alliance For California Traditional Arts

DescriptionThe Alliance has partnered with the California Arts Council to serve the state’s folk and traditional arts field. It promotes and supports cultural traditions now and into the future. The Alliance’s Living Cultures Grant Program will award grants to California-based organizations in support of activities that nurture, sustain, and increase participation in the traditional arts. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on three priorities: Cultural Continuity of Traditional Arts Practices, Sustaining Future Traditional Arts Practices, and Engaging and Strengthening Communities. Applicants must be a nonprofit California-based organization or community and have an annual operating budget of no more than $250,000. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
