Wenner-gren Foundation For Anthropological Research
Category: Education
DescriptionThe Foundation is dedicated to all branches of anthropology and closely related disciplines concerned with human biological and cultural origins, development, and variation. The Foundation’s Conference and Workshop grants Program awards grants in support of events that foster the creation of an international community of research scholars in the anthropology and that advance significant and innovative anthropological research. Priority will be given to applications to major conferences sponsored by large international anthropological organizations. The majority of the awarded funds are expected to be applied to expenses for international scholars who are making presentations at the conference and would not otherwise be able to attend. Priority for workshop grants is given for workshops that devote the majority of time to discussion and debate rather than the presentation of papers. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
