Best Buy Foundation

Category

: Children, Youth & Families

Description

The Foundation seeks to build better futures for youth through technology. The Foundation’s community grants are awarded in support of equitable, innovative, and impact-driven programs focused on enhancing the lives of youth between the ages of 13 to 18 through technology-enabled curricula. Programs should include hands-on learning opportunities that lead to skill development and engage the youth in experimenting and interacting with the latest technologies to close the digital skills gap. The Foundation is looking to partner with nonprofits that enable youth to obtain industry recognized competency or credentials. Programs must be offered during out-of-school time and be focused on underresourced youth between the ages of 13 and 18. Applicants may be a public or private nonprofit, community-based organization but the program must be located within a nonprofit organization targeting teens in underresourced communities and operate within 25 miles of a Best Buy store or Best Buy center of operations. Details about qualified programs and additional information can be found on the Web site.
