Description

The Foundation seeks to enhance caregiving skills and alleviate stress among caregivers. The Foundation’s Dorothy Rupe Caregiver Program is dedicated to improving the lives of caregivers providing at-home support to a loved one with dementia. Grants will be awarded to qualified certified nursing assistant and home health aide programs to support nursing assistant programs that provide quality, entry-level healthcare training for students. The objective is to create economic opportunity for low-income, unemployed, and/or re-entry workers, as well as increase the availability of certified nursing assistants and home health aides in the workforce. Priority will be given to projects with the potential increase the number of direct care workers providing aid in a home-based setting. Any California community college with an existing certified nursing assistant program is eligible to apply.
