DescriptionThe Foundation is the charitable arm of U.S. Gypsum Company, the manufacturer of building materials for construction and remodeling. The Foundation targets its grantmaking in the categories of arts/culture, higher education, hospitals and health care, social welfare, youth agencies, federated giving, public policy research, and government/public administration. Types of support include general operating support, continuing support, annual and capital campaigns, building construction/renovation, equipment, acquisition, scholarship funds, research, technical assistance, and employee matching gifts, scholarships, and matching grants. There are no application forms or deadlines. The board meets quarterly to consider requests. Giving is targeted to organizations primarily located in company operating areas.
