The Vilcek Prizes For Creative Promise

Description

The Prizes honor foreign-born scientists and artists living in the United States who have demonstrated outstanding early achievement in their careers. The Program was established to encourage and support young immigrants who have already demonstrated exceptional achievements and who often face significant challenges early in their careers. Six $50,000 prizes, three in the field of biomedical sciences and three in a category of the arts selected by the Foundation, are awarded each year. Applicants must have been born outside the U.S.; must not be more than 38 years old; must be a naturalized citizen or permanent resident of the United States; must hold an H1B or O-1 visa and have been living and working in the United States for at least five years; and must intend to pursue a professional career in the United States. Three applicants in each category will be selected to receive a $50,000 cash prize. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
