Description

The Foundation has three areas of interest: entrepreneurship, education, and Kansas City. It targets its grantmaking on local, regional, and national organizations. Five outcomes guide the Foundation’s grantmaking: to ensure children enter school equipped to succeed; that children and youths make successful transitions from adolescence to responsible adulthood; that youths and adults have the knowledge, skills, and values to make entrepreneurship a choice; that entrepreneurs have the ability to accelerate job wealth and creation in America; and that leaders of nonprofits have the entrepreneurial skills needed to advance their groups’ mission. Of particular interest are projects and programs that will lead to self-sufficiency. The majority of the education grants go to organizations within the Kansas City metro area. Entrepreneur grants fund programs and activities nationally and within the Kansas City area. A letter of inquiry is requested. The Foundation does not accept proposals sent by audio or videotape.
