Description

The Organization’s Award program was created to recognize individuals who make a difference in the lives of children in the United States and around the globe, regardless of political, religious, or geographical boundaries. The Award honors individuals in six categories: protection, education, humanitarian, health, youth, and alumni. The Protection award recognizes individuals making extraordinary contributions to children so that they can live free from fear, abuse, and exploitation (including, but not limited to, trafficking, slavery, and sexual imposition.) The Education award recognizes individuals who are making extraordinary contributions to the lives of vulnerable children in their educational development and providing them the platform from which to become fully productive members of society. The Health award recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to children in the fields of health, medicine, or the sciences. Health awardees do not have to be doctors or medical professionals; however all have achieved and continue to achieve measurable accomplishments to improve the health of children around the world. The Humanitarian award recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to children in the areas of social services or humanitarian services. The Youth award honors an individual 21 years old or younger who is making extraordinary contributions in helping other youth. The Alumni award recognizes past Honorees whose work has excelled beyond what we could have imagined and grants them additional funds to further their work for children. The Award program also includes a Crisis award, which was first given in 2017. The award recognizes individuals making extraordinary contributions to children affected by war, natural disasters, or other crises creating large cohorts of extremely vulnerable children. Additional information on all the awards and application instructions can be found on the Web site.
