DescriptionThe Foundation supports creative and innovative projects that promote safe and clean boating on local waterways. Past funded topics have included public service announcements on the effects of boating under the influence and hands-on education about the effects of marine debris. Priority will be given to unique topics, methods, or delivery mechanisms; include extensive outreach to boaters; use technology to educate boaters; have a widespread reach; include hands-on work with the boating community; and have a way to measure success. Applicants can include boating groups, clubs, and associations; student groups, and local nonprofits. Grants will not be awarded to government agencies, international organizations, for-profit businesses, or individuals. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
