Description

The Organization is a society of research scientists and engineers that rewards excellence in research and cooperation among scientists in all fields. The Organization provides undergraduate and graduate students with valuable educational experiences and financial support. The Organization’s Grants-in-Aid of Research awards grants to students from all the areas of sciences and engineering. Designated funds from the National Academy of Sciences allow for grants of up to $5,000 for astronomy research and $2,500 for vision related research. Grants for all other research areas are $1,000. Funds should be used to pay for travel expenses to and from a research site or for purchases of non-standard laboratory equipment necessary to complete a specific research project. Membership in the Organization is not required for applying for funding although 75 percent of the funds are restricted for use by dues-paying student members or students whose project advisor is a dues-paying member. The grants are open to students from any country. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
