DescriptionThe Foundation, named for its focus on balance of philanthropy across the state of Maine, focuses its grantmaking on programs and projects in the arts, culture, and humanities; education; environment; health; human services; justice; public/society benefit; and religion. The Foundation limits its grants to charitable organizations, activities, operations, or purposes which only take place within the state of Maine. The Foundation does not normally award grants to supplemental annual campaigns for regular operations nor make multiple year gifts. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
