Description

The Foundation seeks to promote the prevention of cruelty to animals and the study, care, protection, and preservation, of animals, both domestic and wild, and their habitats. Administered by Wells Fargo, the Foundation’s grantmaking is given to nonprofits working to aid and assist in the prevention of cruelty to animals; aid and assist in the care, protection, and preservation of animals and the habitats in which they live; assist institutions of higher learning in Texas in the operation and maintenance of courses of study in veterinary medicine and the study of animals and animal life. Priority is given to organizations located in the Crane/Midland/Odessa area of Texas. In addition, the Foundation also awards scholarships for the study of veterinary medicine at any institution of higher learning in Texas and supports research projects involving ecological, environmental, and wildlife studies. In addition to awarding grants to Texas organizations, the Foundation also awards grants to New York City nonprofits as well as national animal organizations.
