Description

The Foundation seeks to fulfill their vision of a “better place” in the Quad Cities of Illinois and Iowa. The Foundation’s definition of a “better place” includes a community in which all of the citizens share a good life with adequate shelter, food, and medical care; a community in which opportunities for growth and development are available; and a community in which citizens work together to face the challenges of life. Grants for program, operating, and capital expenses are focused in the areas of direct services (health, education, youth development, community development, culture, and basic human needs). In addition, grants are awarded to organizations or projects working to reduce poverty and injustice and promote democratic values, free expression, and human achievement. Grants are awarded to nonprofits who serve the people of Rock Island (IL) and Scott (IA) counties. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
