Caris Foundation
Category: International
DescriptionThe Foundation was established in Texas in 2002 to aid and empower impoverished people. The Foundation’s mission is to help people in need and alleviate as much human suffering as possible. Grants are awarded in three areas: HIV, empowerment, and medical missions. HIV grants support the happy and healthy development of children and families affected by HIV. Empowerment grants demonstrate grace to impoverished peoples by empowering participants to fulfill their God-given potential; sustain that potential by training and equipping, and transforming character and community from one of despair and survival to hope and productivity. Medical Missions grants focus on general surgery, head and neck surgery, eye surgery, cleft lip/palate surgery, and disaster relief. The Foundation provides medical and empowerment services in Haiti, Kenya, and other areas across the globe in need of help. Program details and application instructions can be found on the Web site.
