Craft Emergency Relief Fund

Category

: Arts & Culture

Description

The Fund provides no-interest loans and awards of small grants of up to $9,000 to professional craftspeople who have experienced a career-threatening illness, accident, fire, theft, or natural disaster. Grants and loans provide immediate help to eligible artists working in craft disciplines such as woodworkers, fiber artists, metalsmiths, glass artists, potters, and furniture makers after serious emergencies. Artists may apply for emergency assistance under one of four categories: artists with an established craft business; artists with an established, alternative craft career; artists with an ongoing history in folk and traditional arts, and emergency artists working in craft disciplines. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
