The Chapman Trusts

Category

: Regional

Description

Created by an Oklahoma independent oil and gas producer, the Chapman Trusts are comprised of the H.A. and Mary K. Chapman Charitable Trust and The Mary K. Chapman Foundation. Each maintains a separate charitable grant making program but the focus is broad. Grants are awarded for a wide variety of charitable purposes including education, medical research, health and human services, arts and culture, civic and community, and nature and wildlife. The philanthropic organizations are administered jointly using common forms, guidelines and procedures. Though not limited geographically, most grants and public services are within Oklahoma and Colorado. Grants to human services and civic and community programs and projects are primarily focused in the areas of Tulsa and Colorado Springs. A letter of inquiry is requested from first time applicants. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
