: Regional

Description

The Foundation was founded by a businessman who made his fortune in the soda business. The Foundation’s grantmaking is focused on three areas: basic needs, education, and youth programs. Basic needs grants are awarded to programs that provide the basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter as well as free or significantly-reduced health care services for individuals without insurance or access to health care. Education grants support various education initiatives including nursing scholarships at Boise State University. Youth program grants support organizations that actively promote and act as a safety net for the most vulnerable populations. Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
