The Kettering Fund

Description

The Fund was founded by Charles F. Kettering, a renowned inventor, businessman, and philanthropist who created the first automatic starter for automobiles. The Fund seeks to support scientific, medical, social, and educational studies and research conducted by nonprofits carried on within the State of Ohio. Grants are awarded in the following areas: education; environment; public/society benefit; arts, culture, and humanities; human services; and health. Request summaries may be submitted twice a year, between January 1 and January 31 and between June 1 and July 31. The Fund suggests sending an email or calling ahead before submitting a request for funding. Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
