Seventh Generation Fund For Indigenous Peoples

Description

The Fund is dedicated to promoting and maintaining the uniqueness of Native people and the sovereignty of tribal nations. Grants are awarded in the following areas: Arts and Creativity, Health and Well-Being, Rights of Mother Earth, Sustainable Communities and Economies, Leadership Development, and Rights, Equity, and Justice. Eligible organizations are defined as one that is a Native American/Indigenous Peoples’ initiative or project that accomplishes its work within the community it serves; is Indigenous/Native-led at a minimum of 80 percent of its board of directors/leadership; has a majority of Indigenous/Native American peoples on staff; and has an annual operating budget of less than $200,000. Applicants should address one or more of the Fund’s program areas. The Fund does not support individuals, non-Native organizations, religious missionizing organizations, capital campaigns, scholarship funds, or the purchase of vehicles or heavy equipment.
