Description

The Foundation’s mission is to improve society through social activism. It focuses its grantmaking on five areas: LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) Community, CyberCenters, Gun Violence Prevention, Leadership Initiatives, and Animal Language. LGBT Community grants support national and Southern California organizations that provide equal rights and protections for all LGBT people. CyberCenter grants support computer labs located at LGBT community centers. Gun Violence Prevention grants seek to reduce gun violence through research, advocacy, and community empowerment. Leadership Initiatives seek to develop the next generation of municipal leaders. Animal Language grants support scientific and academic animal language research and exploration. The Foundation has a three-step application process including determining eligibility for a grant, submitting a letter of inquiry and, if the letter of inquiry is accepted, filling out an application.
