Description

The Fund, named for the late philanthropist and grandson of Standard Oil founder, John D. Rockefeller, seeks to foster and embody a more just, creative, and flourishing world. The Fund invests in catalytic ideas, people, efforts, and institutions working strategically toward ecological regeneration, justice system reform, and art for social impact. The Fund has three primary program areas: Arts, Criminal Justice, and the Environment. The Arts Program focuses on cultivating, showcasing, and disseminating the stories of innovative art for social change. Criminal Justice supports bold new ideas and policy initiatives for transforming U.S. detention and incarceration policy. Environment grants support new ideas, initiatives, and policy breakthroughs in support of bipartisan United States climate leadership. The Fund reviews brief, 1-to-2 page letters of inquiry on a rolling basis. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
