Ball Brothers Foundation

Description

The Foundation is dedicated to the stewardship legacy of the Ball Brothers and the pursuit of improving the quality of life in Muncie, Delaware County, east Central Indiana, and Indiana through philanthropic leadership. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on six broad subject areas: education (higher education, public and private education); arts, culture and the humanities (cultural activities and institutions); human services (including youth services); public/society benefit (community betterment); health (including school and community wellness, youth development, and recreation); and environment (including land conservation and land management). Currently, the Foundation’s specific initiatives include: downtown stabilization and renewal, early childhood education, emergency management, environmental recreation and preservation, and workforce development. The Foundation awards general grants and a limited number of rapid grants of up to $5,000. The Foundation makes grants only to nonprofits operating in the state of Indiana.
