DescriptionThe Foundation supports organizations whose initiatives and programs have broad and transformative impact on the city of Memphis, Tenn., and its constituencies. These initiatives and programs should elevate educational achievement and socioeconomic advancement as well as promote pride in the Memphis community. Funded programs and priorities should also be consistent with the role of the city’s heritage organization, Welcome Wagon, in making all individuals feel welcome and encouraging them to be neighborly. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking support on the following areas: arts, civic, education, social services, and youth. Applications must be submitted electronically to twbriggs@aol.com.
