Description

The Foundation funds nonprofits in Rhode Island that will have the greatest impact on the broadest possible segment of the population. Grants are awarded in the following areas: hospitals/healthcare; youth and fitness; education; public school competitive grants; open spaces, conservation, parks, and the environment; social services; arts and culture; libraries; and historic preservation. The Foundation makes direct grants almost exclusively for capital needs. Capital needs may consist of equipment, construction, renovations, the purchase of real property, and the reduction of mortgage indebtedness. No applications will be accepted via e-mail or fax.
