Description

The Foundation was established to encourage the performance of contemporary concert music, in particular by American composers. It does this through its support to performing and presenting organizations that have demonstrated sustained artistic excellence. The Foundation accepts applications from nonprofits that are not performing ensembles – education/residency, festival, library/archive, presenter, radio/television, and music service organizations – for general operating or special project support. Applicants should be publicly supported nonprofits performing ensembles, presenters, music service organization that have a history of substantial commitment to contemporary concert music at a high level of excellence. Organizations must have been in existence for at least two years. In general, the grants do not support jazz music.
