DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Principal Financial Group. The Foundation’s grantmaking supports programs and projects in the areas of health and human services, education, arts and culture, the environment, and recreation and tourism. The Foundation considers requests from organizations located where the company has offices in Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Arizona, Connecticut, and Indiana. The objectives, priorities, and programs seek to reflect the needs and concerns of communities in which the Company operates. Contribution requests are considered on a quarterly basis, on the following schedule: health and human services, March 1; education, June 1; arts and culture, September 1; and environment, recreation, and tourism, December 1. Applicants located outside of Des Moines, Iowa, should submit requests to the individuals located on the Web site.
