Description

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Thornburg Investment Management. It invests in enduring solutions to help solve problems affecting people and our planet. The Foundation works as catalysts for high impact outcomes using evidence to understand and solve systemic problems, engaging stakeholders to drive policy reform, and creating meaningful and lasting change. Grants are awarded in the following areas: early childhood development, food and agriculture, and good government reforms. Early childhood development grants seek to improve early childhood outcomes in New Mexico by promoting policies that improve the effectiveness of the early childhood system (including family support/home visiting, child care, and pre-kindergarten), increase access and support a sustainably funded system. Food and agriculture grants seek to benefit all New Mexicans with robust food and agriculture systems that are locally embedded, offer healthy and affordable food, grow a resilient and diverse farm and ranch economy, and are supported by federal, state, and community policies and institutions. Good government reforms grants support the advancement of transparent, ethical, and representative government. Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
