DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Larson Manufacturing Company, which is the nation’s leading manufacturer of storm doors and storm windows. The Foundation seeks to share its good fortune with the people of South Dakota. The Foundation’s grantmaking focus is to help people in need to achieve a better quality of life. Grantmaking priority revolves around funding basic human needs such as food, clothing, shelter, and education. Grants are awarded to human services organizations, for education, and for cultural activities. The Foundation awards capital grants, project/program support, funding for endowments and emergency assistance, operating expenses, and employee matching funds. Applicants are asked to send a short letter of intent. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
