Description

The Foundation’s Film Awards support students’ thesis film projects at the undergraduate/graduate level. Film is defined as (but not limited to) narrative/documentary/experimental/animation/hybrid work as well as new work including media installations, transmedia, webisodes, interactive Web work and other projects where the moving image is the primary component. Applicants must be nominated by their respective dean/department chairs, be a U.S. citizen or have obtained permanent residency status, and have completed at least one film. Nominees must be a full-time student or have matriculated but not have completed a thesis film, have completed at least one film as a director, and be the director of the proposed thesis film. Nominees must attend or have graduated from one of the schools found on the list of eligible schools. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
