Description

The Foundation is a private Foundation established to advance the institutional philanthropy of the Searle Family. The Foundation has three areas of focus: biomedical research, environmental conservation, and education.The Fellows Program focuses on environmental leadership that emphasizes market-solutions to environmental problems. The Program’s global network of 228 fellows in 51 countries across seven continents is collaborative, entrepreneurial, and dedicated to effective conservation. Fellowships provide a month-long, in-residence program delivered by a faculty of global experts who work closely with each cohort of fellows. Qualified applicants must be a mid-career conservation professional with at least five years of experience, familiar with market based mechanisms, and who demonstrate leadership, innovative thinking, and mission-driven achievements. Each fellow will receive a $6,000 stipend and lodging for one month. Locations of the program vary from year to year.
