DescriptionThe Foundation is dedicated to the health and well being of the land and people of Utah (with a preference to Northern Utah), Idaho, and the Intermountain West. Grants are awarded in the following areas: basic science, education, environment, social science, healthcare for the underserved. Approximately 15 percent of the Foundation’s grants are dedicated to basic science; 35 percent to education; 20 percent to environmental grants; 15 percent to social services grants, and 10 percent to healthcare for the underserved. An additional 5 percent were awarded to difficult to classify community based needs and organizations.
