DescriptionThe Foundation provides resources and funds for the health and welfare of underserved and vulnerable populations with an emphasis on children and youth. The Foundation assists nonprofits to improve health status and meet the healthcare needs (physical, mental, behavioral, and oral) in the communities that the insurance Company’s health plans serve. Grants are awarded to support organizations and initiatives aligned with providing access to high quality healthcare, improving community health and lowering costs across the system. The Foundation awards the following types of grants: Strategic grants, which focus on developing strategies and Healthcare Access grants, which meet a specific need. Grants are awarded to nonprofits in Idaho, Montana, and Oregon. Additional information including an online Letter of Intent form can be found on the Web site.
