Description

The Foundation provides funds to nonprofit organizations in Nebraska and Iowa that focus on the following areas: education, arts, agriculture, human services, and humanities. Education grants are awarded to programs of broad impact in art, agriculture, and business. Arts grants are awarded to improve art education, appreciation, and exhibition. Agriculture grants support programs that teach and study the significant changes that have impacted agricultural practices, with an emphasis on horticulture. Human services grants support broad community improvements that emphasize partnership among agencies and stakeholders, eliminate duplication, and improve the awareness of human services. Humanities grants are awarded to programs that teach the humanities and improve access to underserved audiences. Priority is given to interdisciplinary approaches, application of new research, and organizational collaboration. Grants are awarded in Nebraska and Iowa with an emphasis on organizations located and operating within Nebraska City and Otoe County in Nebraska. Most grants are for program funding, with a low priority given to general operating support. Additional information including application instructions can be found on the Web site.
