Description

The Foundation was established to improve the conditions of the Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal bays and later expanded to include Northern
California and the San Francisco Bay watershed. The Foundation seeks to convince citizens and policymakers that citizens and businesses must tke scientifically-based and strategically focused action to address the most critical problems facing these fragile resources. The3 Foundation is currently accepting proposals from all types of programs, but strong priority will be given to projects that improve water quality and promote healthy ocean ecosystems on the west coast of the United States.The Foundation reviews proposals based on the following factors: program effectiveness, board giving, completeness of proposal, organizational financial health and sustainability, percentage of the ask compared to the organizational or project budge, size of the organizational/project budget, and ability to adhere to cycle guidelines.
